Professional Basketball Player
Shakyla Hill is a professional basketball player for ZKK Kraljevo of Kraljevo, Serbia. The American star point-guard known as the “Quadruple-Double Queen” is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas. Hill gained national attention in her collegiate career at Grambling State University as became the first ever basketball player to record a quadruple-double since 1993 and fourth player overall. She made history again her senior year in 2019 as she recorded her second quadruple-double. This Quadruple Double placed her in a league of her own making her the only person (Male or Female) to have more than one in NCAA history. On January 25, 2020, she made history AGAIN as she recorded her third quadruple-double making her the only person in ZLS League 1 history to record a Quadruple Double.
Hill received her bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Grambling State University in May of 2019. During her reign at Grambling she earned many accolades including 12x SWAC Player of the week, 5x Sports Madness Player of the Week, 2016 All-Swac Second Team, 3x All-SWAC First Team, 3x SWAC All Tournament team, 3x Boxtorow All-American, 2x SWAC Preseason Player of the Year, 2x Boxtorow National Player of the Year, LSWA All-Louisiana First Team 2018 and 2019, LSWA All Louisiana Second Team 2017, LSWA All-Louisiana Freshman of the Year 2016 , 2018 SWAC Tournament Champion and MVP, 2019 SWAC Player of the Year, 2019 SWAC Defensive Player of the year, United States Sports Academy Player of the month January 2018 and ESPN the Undefeated’s HBCU Player of the Year 2019.
Hill is one of only seven NCAA Division I women’s basketball players to ever record 2,000 points, 500 rebounds, 500 assists and 300 steals in her career.
Off the court, Hill is family oriented.. As an activist for equality for women and women’s rights she is currently planning for her upcoming foundation revelation. Shakyla's platform focuses on building up women and women in sports. It also focuses on black colleges and students. She is a vocal leader in her community and an advocate for equality for BLACK people. In her spare time she enjoys binge watching Netflix shows and finding new recipes for baking. Basketball is not the only legacy she wants to leave.
